Come dear friend,
help me wake from my dreams
I never wanted to sleep,
The lights are shining while we 're swimming in the deep,
It's not our secret to keep
I hear the screams,
you hear the drums
and my friend told me
"Here it comes"
I 'm not ready to leave
I 'm not ready to die
And it's time for the monsters to say goodbye
Hold your breath ''till we get there and then show them your rage
Are you feeling alive, we just broke the cage
The Cage is down but the game goes on
A breath of escape is not a lifetime's strong
So if you need your right to life
Then turn their darkness into your light
I 'm not ready to leave
I 'm not ready to die
And it's time for the monsters to say goodbye
Hold your breath ''till we get there and then show them your rage
Are you feeling alive, we just broke the cage.
So, this is my edited review. I recommend you buy this EP, if for no other reason, than BLACK MOLASSES. It starts softly with a clear near perfect vocal. Then builds into stoner rock perfection. The jam- guitar, drums & bass are just badass. Awesome. And the rest of the disc is freaking great in its own right. LOVE this ep. 🤘🤘🤘 Steve
Combining crooned murder ballads with raw, angsty hard rock hooks, Melbourne's The Ugly Kings are a wrecking crew well worth watching. Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 15, 2021
I picked this one up in advance of a holiday trip. In these times I always need some softer music for my companion which rocks only a little. But SPIRAL GURU's cool 70s influenced psychedelic rock even rocks a bit more. Usually this is not my genre, stuf like Spiritual Beggars or the like, but SPIRAL GURU is definitely charming, maybe because of the female vocals. Further the songs are not too psychedelic, they have a solid catchiness. Check "Signs" or "Oracle". H.L.
